Best AI Video Generators with Audio in 2026

Several AI video models now generate speech, music and sound effects in the same pass as the picture, so a clip can come out with sound already in sync. Models with native audio include Google's Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash and Veo 3.1, ByteDance's Seedance 2.5, Alibaba's Wan 3.0, Kling 3.0, MiniMax H3 and PixVerse V6. Runway, Luma and Pika also offer audio through separate tools. This guide compares what each one officially supports: native audio, speech languages, length per generation, resolution and price at the time of writing.

Key Takeaways

  • Native audio means the model makes sound and video together. Separate audio tools add sound afterwards, which gives you more control but adds a step.
  • Length per generation with audio varies a lot: up to 15 seconds for Kling 3.0 and MiniMax H3, up to 30 seconds for Seedance 2.5 and Wan 3.0, and 10-second clips for Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash that some Google tools can extend to 40 seconds.
  • Only a few models publish their speech languages. Kling 3.0 lists five, and MiniMax H3 lists 11.
  • 2026 reshaped the field: OpenAI discontinued Sora, and Google lists Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash as the replacement for the Veo 3.1 preview models on the Gemini API.

How we chose

Every fact below comes from official pages and press releases from each model maker or platform, retrieved October 20-21, 2026. We did not run hands-on tests, so this is not a ranking, the entries are not in ranked order, and quality claims stay with the companies that make them. We included a model only if its maker says it generates audio together with video. Platforms that add audio with separate tools appear in their own group, labeled that way. Prices are as listed on each official page at the time of writing and change often. VerseIn is our own product. We list it with that disclosure and hold it to the same standard: only what its official pages say.

Native audio vs audio added later

Native audio is generated by the same model, in the same pass, as the video. Makers describe the sound as generated to match the picture: ByteDance, for example, calls Seedance 2.5 an "audio-video joint generation model" with audio and visuals in sync.

Audio added later comes from a separate tool: a voice generator, a music generator or a sound effects library. You make a silent clip first, then build the soundtrack and match it to the video. That takes longer, but it lets you swap a voice or a music cue without regenerating the picture. Many creators will want both: native audio for quick social clips, and separate tools for voice-over or music they need to control closely.

What changed in 2026

Two shifts matter if you are choosing a tool now.

Sora is gone. OpenAI closed the Sora app and web experience on April 26, 2026, according to its help center, and shut down the Sora 2 API on September 24, 2026, per its deprecations page. Older roundups that list Sora are out of date.

Google moved from Veo 3.1 to Gemini Omni. Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash became generally available on the Gemini API on August 27, 2026. According to its deprecations page, Google shut down the Veo 3.1 preview IDs on the Gemini API on October 22, 2026, and lists Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash as the replacement.

Models that generate audio with the video

Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash (Google): for 4K clips inside Google's tools

Google's consumer page lists "Native audio generation" and says you can "Create 10 second videos" in the Gemini app, which requires a Google AI subscription. According to Google's developer blog, scenes can be extended in 10-second steps up to 40 seconds, at 1080p or 4K, in AI Studio, Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform and Flow.

Good fit for: people already paying for Google AI, and developers moving off Veo 3.1 on the Gemini API.

Price at time of writing: the Gemini API pricing page lists about $0.10 per second at 720p. Consumer use needs a Google AI subscription.

Veo 3.1 (Google): replaced by Gemini Omni on the Gemini API

Google's video docs describe Veo 3.1 as generating "video with native audio." Google shut down the Veo 3.1 preview IDs on the Gemini API on October 22, 2026, and lists Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash as the replacement. VerseIn still lists Veo 3.1 (see the comparison table), so check availability before you build a workflow around it.

Good fit for: finishing projects that already use Veo 3.1. For new work on the Gemini API, Google points to Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash.

Seedance 2.5 (ByteDance): for longer clips with several speaking characters

Seedance 2.5 can generate up to 30 seconds per generation, and clips can be extended, according to the Seedance 2.5 page. ByteDance's launch post from July 31, 2026 says audio and visuals stay in sync and that multiple characters keep their own voices.

Good fit for: short scenes with dialogue between two or more characters, where a 15-second limit would cut the scene short. For a deeper look, read our Seedance 2.5 explainer.

Price at time of writing: not covered here; it depends on the platform you use.

Wan 3.0 (Alibaba): for audio you can switch off, with clear API prices

Alibaba's Wan 3.0 guide says the model "natively outputs dialogue, BGM, and sound effects." Audio is on by default and can be turned off, which helps when you plan to add your own music later. Clips run 2 to 30 seconds at 480p, 720p or 1080p.

Good fit for: developers and teams who want predictable per-second API pricing.

Price at time of writing: the Wan 3.0 API page lists $0.05 per second at 480p, $0.10 at 720p and $0.20 at 1080p.

Kling 3.0 (Kuaishou): for multilingual dialogue

Kling 3.0 generates native audio speech in English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Spanish, with multi-character dialogue and clips up to 15 seconds, according to Kuaishou's launch announcement. Kling's official user guide lists 3 to 15 seconds at 1080p or 720p. Kling has a growing business behind it: Kuaishou reported Kling AI revenue of over RMB 850 million in Q2 2026, up more than 200% year over year (Kuaishou Q2 2026 results, 2026-08-19).

Good fit for: creators who need characters to speak one of the five listed languages.

Price at time of writing: on Kling, Native Audio costs 12 credits per second at 1080p, compared with 8 credits per second without audio, per the user guide.

MiniMax H3 (Hailuo 3.0): for stereo sound and open weights

According to its Hugging Face model card, MiniMax H3 generates native stereo audio at 32 kHz, with speech in 11 languages. Clips run 4 to 15 seconds at a 768p base, and a regenerate module takes output to 2K. The weights are open under the MiniMax H3 Community License, and you can also use it at hailuoai.video or through platform.minimax.io.

Good fit for: teams that want to run a model themselves, and creators who want stereo sound or speech across many languages.

Price at time of writing: not covered here. Read the community license before any commercial self-hosting.

PixVerse V6: for one-pass social clips

PixVerse launched V6 on March 30, 2026, with audio and video generated in one pass at 1080p. We did not find a maximum length in the launch post. VerseIn lists 1 to 15 seconds.

Good fit for: quick, short social videos with sound.

Price at time of writing: not covered here.

Apps that combine models and audio tools

VerseIn: several audio models plus separate audio tools in one app

VerseIn lists six models with generated audio: Seedance 2.5 (4 to 30 seconds, up to 1080p), Wan 3.0, Kling 3.0 (listed as Kling 3 on VerseIn), MiniMax H3, PixVerse V6 (1 to 15 seconds) and Veo 3.1 (4, 6 or 8 seconds, up to 1080p). VerseIn still lists Veo 3.1, but availability may change now that Google has shut down the preview IDs on the Gemini API. You can start in the AI video generator and switch models without changing apps.

Why it helps: when native audio isn't enough, separate tools sit in the same app: AI Voice Over, AI Music (instrumental only) and Sound Effects.

Good fit for: creators and small teams who want to compare audio models side by side and add voice-over or music in one place, on web, iOS or Android.

Price at time of writing: credit-based. The pricing page says you always see the total cost before you confirm, and credits are returned automatically if a generation fails. New accounts get free sign-up credits, and paid plans export without a watermark.

Pika: hosted audio models plus sound tools

Pika's pricing page lists hosted models including Seedance 2.5, MiniMax H3, Wan 3.0 and Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash, plus separate SFX, Speech and Soundtrack tools.

Good fit for: creators who want hosted audio models and add-on sound tools under one account.

Price at time of writing: Free at $0 (top-up packs only), Starter at $10/mo.

Runway: separate audio tools and third-party models

Runway's own models are Gen-4.5 and Aleph 2.0, and it also hosts Kling 3.0 and Seedance 2.0, according to its pricing page. Audio comes through separate music, voice and sound effect tools or through third-party models. If you need sound generated with the clip, check whether audio is available for the hosted model you pick.

Good fit for: editors who already work in Runway and want to build audio as a separate layer.

Price at time of writing: 125 one-time free credits; Standard at $12/mo billed annually.

Luma Ray3.2: audio through ElevenLabs

Luma adds audio to Ray3.2 video through integrated ElevenLabs SFX, Music and v3, according to its model info page. The sound is produced by those ElevenLabs tools rather than by the video model itself.

Good fit for: people who want ElevenLabs voices and music next to their video generation.

Price at time of writing: not covered here.

Tips for getting usable audio

  • Write the sound into your prompt. Name the speaker, the line of dialogue, the music mood and key sound effects, so the model doesn't have to guess. An example prompt we have not tested: "A barista in a busy cafe looks at the camera and says, 'Your usual oat latte is ready.' Soft acoustic guitar in the background, milk steamer hissing, cups clinking."
  • Check the default. Wan 3.0 turns audio on by default. Turn it off if you plan to add your own music, rather than stripping sound later.
  • Plan scenes around the length limit. If your model stops at 15 seconds, write a scene that fits, or pick a model with longer generations or extension.
  • Compare cost before you generate. On Kling, audio costs more credits per second than silent video. On VerseIn, the total cost appears before you confirm, so you can compare models before spending credits.
  • Listen with headphones. Check speech timing and stereo placement before you post.

FAQ

Which AI video generators create sound automatically?

Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash, Veo 3.1, Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0, Kling 3.0, MiniMax H3 and PixVerse V6 all generate audio together with the video, according to their makers. Runway, Luma and Pika offer audio through separate tools or hosted third-party models.

How long can an AI video with audio be?

It depends on the model: up to 15 seconds per generation for Kling 3.0 and MiniMax H3, and up to 30 seconds for Seedance 2.5 and Wan 3.0. Some models, such as Seedance 2.5 and Gemini Omni 1.1 Flash, can extend a clip further.

Can AI video generators make dialogue in other languages?

Some publish language lists. Kling 3.0 lists English, Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Spanish, and MiniMax H3 lists 11 languages. For other models, try a short clip in your language before you commit to a longer project.

Should I use native audio or add audio separately?

Use native audio when you want a clip with synced sound in one step, such as a short social video. Add audio separately when you need a specific voice, a branded music track or exact control over timing, since you can change the sound without regenerating the video.
